September 8, 1987 Yosemite National Park, California -- Stanislaus Complex Fire -- Firefighter stands watch on fire burning above Harden Flat near Yosemite. The Stanislaus Complex Fire consumed 28 structures and 145,980 acres. One US Forest Service firefighter David Ross Erickson died from a tree falling accident.
