Cottonwood Fire 1990

September 14, 1990 Tuolumne City, California -- Cottonwood Fire -- US Forest Service sawyer moves up fire line to work in different area. The Cottonwood Fire was held to 2,000 acres by the fast action of fire crews. The fire threatened several small communities. The big challenge was to make sure the fire didn’t get past the Hacienda fuel break, keeping the fire out of the Tuolumne River.
