September 4, 1987 Greeley Hill, California --Stanislaus Complex Fire -- Residents play music to pass time as they wait for news of their homes in Greeley Hill. The Stanislaus Complex Fire consumed 28 structures and 145,980 acres. One US Forest Service firefighter, David Ross Erickson, died from a tree-felling accident.
