September 3, 1987 Pine Mountain Lake, California -- Stanislaus Complex Fire -- Stanislaus National Forest foreman John Buckley drives crew back to camp. The Stanislaus Complex Fire consumed 28 structures and 145,980 acres. One US Forest Service firefighter, David Ross Erickson, died from a tree-felling accident.
