Stanislaus Complex Fire 1987

September 8, 1987 Yosemite National Park, California -- Stanislaus Complex Fire -- Because of the need for extra drinking water during the fire, the Fairfield Anheuser-Busch plant canned drinking water to help out. The Stanislaus Complex Fire consumed 28 structures and 145,980 acres. One US Forest Service firefighter David Ross Erickson died from a tree falling accident.
