September 1, 1987 Buck Meadows, California -- Stanislaus Complex Fire -- Truxton Canyon Firefighter from Bureau of Indian Affairs looks for spot fires to protect fire camp. The Stanislaus Complex Fire consumed 28 structures and 145,980 acres. One US Forest Service firefighter, David Ross Erickson, died from a tree-felling accident.
