Stanislaus Complex Fire 1987

September 1, 1987 Buck Meadows, California -- Stanislaus Complex Fire -- Firefighter puts out spot fire to stop fire from running over fire camp. The Stanislaus Complex Fire consumed 28 structures and 145,980 acres. One US Forest Service firefighter, David Ross Erickson, died from a tree-felling accident.
