2017 Local Fires

Railroad Fire started on Tuesday August 29, 2017. The fire grew to 12,407 acres between the communities of Sugar Pine and Fish Camp along State Route 41 just outside of Yosemite National Park. The fire threatened Nelder Grove a grove of Giant Sequoias. I wasn’t available for the start of the Railroad fire but I went to check Nelder Gove on September 4, 2017.
